If you haven’t yet seen The Matrix trilogy…

I really advise you to do so. Unlike many Matrix fans, I don’t believe in outlandish conspiracies of control and limit of choice, but I do appreciate the series for what it is, and that’s a damn fine work of film genius. The action is right on par with many more advanced movies, and the Wachowski brothers come up with some seriously brilliant venues for beat-down, shoot-em up action. In one scene, Morpheus fights attackers in a car. Pure gold! Also, although it may seem as though I’ve been compensated for this entry, I have received no advertising money from anyone. I do this of my own volition.

The Consistency of Marmalade

When my eyes opened, I felt as though there were shards of powdered glass wedged deep within them. I looked around, as a frightened mouse does, and I saw nothing but the synthesized laser engraved reality triangles of which I had dreamed only moments before. My hair was cold and moist with terrified sweat. Had I at last fallen from the thin precipice of reality? It was unclear to me whether or not I could stand, and upon trying, I discovered that my legs were useless. They stared back at me barking as snakes do, straining to escape my hips, and confined by my limitless mass of blankets and sheets. Orbs floated all around my head and I blinked at them motionless as they spoke to me. They informed me of the great acropolis upon which they lived and ate. I took a great pleasure in imagining this location and I found myself diving into my mind, deeper and deeper to visit. When I arrived, I stood naked on swollen wet blades of grass. The tiny flat stalks glared at me with a fiery temper, offended at my juxtaposition atop their frail little heads. Behind me, there stood a tree, coated with a thick purple latex paint. Hanging from the tree, were thousands of bright green legs. Each leg was hairless and I wanted nothing more than to taste them. I licked the leg closest to me and to my surprise, a spasm shot through the limb, and transferred to my nose. The kick turned my gaze towards the cellophane grass and I saw before me a round hole, big enough for a man to fit through. I jumped swiftly down the hole and fell for a great many hours before I realized that I had not smacked any surface upon landing, but I had slowly and without my notice stopped falling completely. I came to rest on a small bed of sticks. In front of my Vaseline eyes, there was a brilliantly illuminated television screen. There were no volume or channel controls, and the white noise screen gave me only an audio perception. I was pleased at this though, as the audio I did receive was the most horrific thing I have ever heard, and would ever wish anyone to hear. It sounded as though a deeply tormented soul was being burned alive by a deaf man screaming obscenities. I began to cry, and as I wept uncontrollably, my tears dropped to the dusty branch floor and turned to red ink. I had stained the nest, and I began to melt. As I sat in a puddle of myself, and my tears, my viewpoint suddenly changed to third-person. I saw a puddle, made completely of squares of red ink, taped together to resemble a medieval tapestry, woven from the bone marrow and plasma of Egyptian gods.

Particles

You see, all things on earth are made of molecules. But what makes up these molecules? Well, atoms of course. And what pray-tell makes up these atoms? There is another level composed of protons, neutrons, and electrons. That’s the end right? Sorry. Another level of matter makes up those sub-atomic particles. These are called quarks, and as far as is accepted currently, that is the end of matter organization. But if this apparent pattern is to continue, it will eventually be accepted as scientific fact that there is no telling where one thing ends and another begins. All things are connected.  Information awaits you here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/String_theory

Existentialism

Zarathustra's TreeThe key principle of the existentialist viewpoint is that the meaning of life is specifically different to every individual, and that these individuals control their own destiny, and respective purposes in life.
